Happy News Years to all my loved ones near and far. I hope that 2010 brings better things to everyone. 2009 has been a struggle for many. I know that with family and friends I have been able to keep my chin up and my sights straight ahead. No use making myself sick over the past even though that is what I tend to lean towards.

Long awaited update..............
I really need to get better at updating my blog. I spend way too much time on Facebook. Now I've missed over 6 months of things that have gone on in our home and with our cute little guy. So here is my attempt to be better at updating in the New Year. Ashton sure LOVES the snow. He goes out and plays in it every chance he gets. Not like his mother. I rather be inside where its warm. Must get that part from his canadian father. He can spend an hour in our back yard just digging around and exploring. Ashton and Clare made this silly snowman last week.....Ashton was so proud of it. Nate, my grandson, and Ashton also love sledding. I'm sure we have lots more snow to come.

Happy Easter!
Ashton enjoyed his Easter. It is getting more and more fun to do these things with him. He gets so excited and he really makes me and Clare laugh. We love his preception of things. We spent dinner with Derick, Breanne and the kids. Doesn't that sound funny. I never would have believed Breanne would have had "kids". I had begun to think that I would have 1 grandchild. This was the first Easter without Jake for me. He had Easter with his girlfriends family. It is always sad when your children grow up and have lives of their own. But with all the little ones around me, I will get to do all the fun things over again. So I get the best of both worlds.

My grandbabies, aren't they precious.
Disney On Ice
Ashton went to Disney On Ice for the first time. I bought the tickets a month in advance and it was all Ashton could talk about. Everytime he saw the commericals or heard it on the radio, he reminded us he was going there. He was very excited about taking Trax 'the train' downtown. It was a nice day. Ashton was very into it. He sat and watched the whole thing with no problems. We took Nate too for part of his birthday. I really can't believe Nate just turned 11. Makes grandma feel old.
