Little kids are so funny. I bought Ashton a Batman mask yesterday in which he wore most of the day. We even had a hard time getting him to take it off to eat dinner. Well today he won't even talk to me or answer me unless I refer to him as Batman. If I say "Ashton, that was a really good boy". He will say to me, "no mom, say Batman is a really good boy". At least it has kept him busy most of the day. It's amazing how much fun and enjoyment they can get out of a $2.00 toy.

Learning how this works
I figure if the rest of the family can learn how to do this, then I better get on the wagon and learn too. Since I have a little time on my hands, now is as good a time as any.
We have been having an interesting summer so far. We've been camping twice which is always fun. Stayed close to home and went up Big Cottonwood. It was very nice both times. Of course, Ashton is a handful but he loves camping. We take Nate with us to help us old folks chase him around. Nate and Ashton get along great so it helps us alot. Ashton will tell you that Nate is his best friend. Clare got to go to Flaming Gorge with some friends at the end of June and loved getting away and seeing something new. I'm sure we will go camping again before summer is over. We are loving our trailer and are so glad we made the decision to buy it.
A few days ago we had a storm hit that scared Ash and I to death. With 55mph winds and hail stones the size of quarters, we thought the windows were going to break. It was sooo loud and the windows were bowing in and the rain water was coming into the house. Ash just clung to me and kept asking what was happening. I swept him up in my arms and we sat down in the hall upstairs (the only place I could see to get away from all the windows) and we waited for it to pass. We could not believe the mess it made outside once it was gone. It thrashed the back of my house. All my screens were torn up. All my trim on my house is all dented. It shredded plants and leaves on the trees. I am so surprised it didnt do more damage. When i drove down the street after, my neighborhood looked like a war zone. Trees broken, roof tiles peeled off, broken windows, swampcooler doors laying everywhere, DishNetwork dishes hanging off roofs. It was crazy!
