Scooter Boy! Isn't he cute.

September 28th - Last Camping Trip

We got in one more time out with the trailer. We went to Jordanelle and it was really nice. The weather was perfect and it is always nice when you have hook-ups so Ash can watch movies when he gets bored. He keeps himself pretty busy though. The mountains were starting to change colors and it was a very relaxing trip.

Ashton found a little dip in the hill by our trailer that he would just sit in and talk to himself.

I think I have a picture of me that looks very simuliar to this pose.

Ashton keeping himself occupied. Boys always like to dig in the dirt and by the time Ash is done, it is in his hair and in his shoes and in his pants. Great, and he ends up sleeping in my bed.

The hills are starting to change color. There is nothing prettier then Utah mountains in the fall.

September 20th - Ash's First Invite

Ashton was invited to his first birthday party. The twins, Ally and Maddy, next door had him over for their 8th birthday. Celena had an petting zoo party for them. They had a chinchilla, a hedgehog, ferret, sugar gliders, parot, cockatoo, snake, lion-faced bunny, and a baby goat. Ash loved it. He had pizza and an ice cream cake. Of course, when it was time to do the presents, Ashton wanted to know where his present was. He had alot of fun and he kept checking out the cute little girl that is in the picture next to him. He sure can stare at the pretty ones.

September 13th - State Fair

We took Ashton to the State Fair and we took Breanne and Nate with us too. We had alot of fun. Ashton loved the chickens and he did really well on the kiddie rides. Nate loves all the scary rides and will go on them over and over again. We went early in the day so we were able to do alot of the rides before the lines got bad. We had Ash on this little monkey leash because we were afraid of losing him in the crowds. He did really good.

Nate and Ashton with his monkey leash. Poor kid, he isn't getting away from us!

Isn't this cow huge. Ashton was almost afraid to touch it. He had a really funny look on his face.

Ashton loved the pony ride. He thought it was the best part of the whole day.

Ashton was really interested in the chickens. It was fun to watch him checking them out.

Breanne and Nate on Moby Dick. They love this ride.

September 9th - Bowling

Well since I've been so bad at updating, I thought i would do some recaps of the last few weeks. So these may look alittle weird. But anyway, Breanne talked me into bowling on a league. Can you believe it! I'm not a bowler....... I think I will throw a huge party the day I actually score 100. I don't think it will ever happen.
Breanne is alot better than I am. We will see if I can get any better. I must have been crazy when I said yes.

Hogle Zoo

Ashton on the big spider in the play area.

Ashton on the alligator in the play area.

A new baby monkey.

Ashton on the rhino.

The bears were pretty playful today.

We took Ashton to the Zoo today. It was really nice for a change. I have been disappointed lately whenever we go up there but today it was a whole different place. They have opened a new area with a Carousel. Ashton had to ride the Carousel twice. He loves those things. The whole zoo looked cleaner, smelled nicer and had some improvements. Being a week day, there was hardly anyone there. Ashton walked thru the whole zoo. He didn't want to be in his stroller. We really enjoyed it. We went out for lunch at a brand new Red Robin on Foothill just before we went to the zoo. I had the best sandwich ever. It was their Baja Turkey Club. It was so yummy it just melted in my mouth. We had a really nice day.

More pictures from the Wild Safari

Ashton is excited to see the animals.

The bears were playing in the water.

A big buffalo on the side of the road.

One of the many giraffes.

A herd of deer near by.

After we went to the petting zoo we got in the van and drove thru the Safari. I have never been to a Safari park before. It was pretty cool to have some of the animals so close to the car. Ashton loved it. We turned him loose in the van so he could run back and forth on the two sides to see everything. Aaron and I took lots of pictures.

Petting Zoo at Wild Safari in Oregon

Our smiley boy, Ashton at the petting zoo.

Ashton petting the baby goats. They were so cute. They were only a few weeks old.

Eunice and Ashton on the camel ride.

Clare, Teri and Ashton being silly.

So while we were in Oregon we drove north to Winston to go to the Wild Safari Park with Aaron and Eunice on Labor Day. It was alot of fun. Eunice and Ashton went on a Camel ride. I was glad Eunice volunteered or I was gonna have to take Ashton on the camel. I didn't really like that idea.

TRIP TO OREGON

Aaron and Ashton at Grandma's. Aaron looks tired. I think we wore him out.

Grandma and Ashton. What a cheese!

Grandma, Teri and Ashton.

Catch up time. We decided since Clare had a slow moment at work that we would run off to Oregon and visit Aaron, Eunice and Grandma. We had a very nice visit. The weather was beautiful. We had a nice road trip. We had reserved a full size car with Avis and when we got there to pick it up they had run out so they gave us a brand new Gran Caravan with all the goodies for the same price. It was such a nice ride. We had satelite radio all the way and it was very comfortable. The scenery on the way was so green and pretty in California and Oregon. We enjoyed being able to get to know Eunice alittle more. Ashton sure loves her. He keeps calling her that 'cute lady in Oregon' with Aaron. He is still asking us if we can go back to Aaron's.

Off Camping Again!

Ashton just loves camping. He always asks if he is going on another adventure. And when we get home from camping, he always asks when we are going again. He was excited this time because Nate got to come again. Derick and Breanne came also. He always loves it when sister is around. He also got to go on an adventure (a little hike) with Nate and Derick and he thought that was cool. Made him feel like a big boy. Clare can't believe we have actually been camping 4 times this summer.

We had an awesome camp site. It was nice and shady for the most part and we had a small stream coming thru it. The boys loved being able to play in the water on Saturday. The water was freezing but they didnt seem to mind. Nate thought it was strange that we put the watermelon in the stream to get cold. Ashton loves watermelon. He probably ate twice as much as the rest of us.

Olympic Commercials

Have you seen the CocaCola commercials played during the Olympics. They are way cool. Here is one of my favorites. Major impressive animation and spectacular color. So fun. Check it out on youtube.

Camping Again. We just can't get enough!

We went camping again this last weekend. It was so much cooler up in the mountains then it was in the valley. We really enjoy going up Big Cottonwood. We had a good time. Ashton just loves camping.

Derick, Breanne and Nate were able to come up and join us for dinner Saturday night. Ashton was so excited when he found out that they were coming up. He was so disappointed on Friday when he found out that Nate wasn't going up for the whole weekend. They have so much fun together when they both get to go.
No Way!! Breanne eating STEAK. She must be pregnant or something. :)

My little Batman

Little kids are so funny. I bought Ashton a Batman mask yesterday in which he wore most of the day. We even had a hard time getting him to take it off to eat dinner. Well today he won't even talk to me or answer me unless I refer to him as Batman. If I say "Ashton, that was a really good boy". He will say to me, "no mom, say Batman is a really good boy". At least it has kept him busy most of the day. It's amazing how much fun and enjoyment they can get out of a $2.00 toy.
